Approach

My Approach:

As a psychologist, I value warmth, compassion, and collaboration in my work. Understanding that pain is a part of what it means to be a person navigating life, I turn my focus to guiding individuals towards living their life in a manner they would like, despite the difficulties that arise.

I use an open guidance approach with my clients, helping them discern what they want their life to be about and what solutions work for them. Together, we work from a strength based and resiliency view. My areas of focus are anxiety, OCD, grief, and healing from trauma.

I provide therapy using evidence-based practices, primarily utilizing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. In addition, I incorporate other modes of treatment such as ERP, Compassion Focused Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, and Written Exposure. Each client engagement is adapted to suit their individual needs and contexts.

My Background:

I received my graduate degree from Binghamton University. Throughout my training I worked in various settings: community mental health, primary care, regional hospital, state psychiatric facility, university counseling center, with a focus in a variety of areas.
